An American football or flag football referee must wear an official uniform to officiate at all championship games organized by federations affiliated with the IFAF (International Federation of American Football).

The uniform for the “ZEBRAS,” as they are called, must include:

• Pants with white side stripes and a belt

• Shorts with white stripes and a belt

• A long-sleeve or short-sleeve jersey with 2-inch stripes in two colors (black and white) on the sleeves, giving them a zebra-like appearance

• A black or white cap
